Abu Dhabi: The UAE has started accepting applications from those who wish to perform Hajj next year. The electronic registration platform for this was opened from yesterday Tuesday. The General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowment (Auqaf) has informed that registration can be done only till December 21.
Auqaf has released a guide detailing the step-by-step registration process. The first step is to download the latest version of Awqaf UAE Smart App. Open the app and select the ‘Haj Permit Service’ option. Login with UAE Pass (Digital ID).
Once logged in, a registration icon will appear. Click on the ‘Register’ icon and enter the details and complete the process. The application should be submitted following ensuring that all personal information is correct.

Pilgrimages from the UAE are usually done through licensed tour operators. The list of authorized Hajj operators is available on the website of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowment.
