When a first price was advanced for the Cadillac Celestiq, everyone jumped. Indeed, it was announced last year that the price of this car would be at least $300,000, in American funds.

The first model for the public will be assembled in December 2023 at the company’s technical center which is located in Warren, Michigan. A special section of the place has been designated as the craftsmen’s center and it will be reserved for the creation of the models.

Only six cars will be built at a time. Cadillac anticipates annual production of around 500 units. The automaker also has a “state-of-the-art facility” at the Vanderbilt House, specifically for Celestiq customers to customize their car.

Remember that the Celestiq will be equipped with an Ultium battery of 111 kWh, which will be enough to provide an estimated range of 500 kilometers. The charging capacity will be up to 200 kW. Each axle will be equipped with its own motor and, together, the power deployed will be around 600 horsepower, while the torque will be around 640 lb-ft. The 0-100 km / h will be able to fall in regarding 4.0 seconds.

The model will also benefit from the latest version of GM’s Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system. According to the company, the latter will work on 95% of driving scenarios in the United States and Canada. At present, the system can operate over some 644,000 km across the two countries.
