The blackout that has been occurring in São Paulo since Friday (3), has directed attention not only to Enel, the concessionaire that manages the supply of electricity in the capital of São Paulo, but also to the State government’s plans to grant Sabesp to private initiative. The graduate will be capable of providing health care to the individual, family and groups, taking into account the reality of the country and the world, responding to individual and collective needs in a comprehensive manner, with the reflective capacity to intervene in each problematic situation. analyzing and adopting decisions in an autonomous, humanistic, interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary way, to care for hospitalized, outpatient and home patients, making use of technology and digital tools for promotion, prevention and timely diagnosis from an innovative and global perspective.
The rector, Danilo Hernández Rodríguez, expressed that “The Medicine program is a debt with the department and the region that we are going to pay off; “It is one of our historic dreams that this administration is going to make possible.”.

The Medicine program will be offered at the North Campus of the University, for which it prepares responsibly for the opening commitment, making important investments with a view to strengthening the Basic and Health Sciences laboratories, such as biology, chemistry , biophysics, morphophysiology, physiology, biochemistry, histology, pharmacology and toxicology, among others.
