Even before the national championships, the first teams announced their tour squads. Jumbo-Visma’s defending champion, Jonas Vingegaard, will start in number 1.
As expected, Bora-hansgrohe is led by former Giro winner Jai Hindley and has two Germans in the squad, Emanuel Buchmann and Nils Politt, which is complete except for one name.
As in the previous year, John Degenkolb will assume the role of Road Captain at DSM around Frenchman Romain Bardet. Georg Zimmermann will be chasing stages for Intermarché, as he did when he won the Dauphiné in June.
