The Ministry of Health (basic health care directorate) announced this Wednesday, September 20, the launch of the seasonal flu vaccination campaign from October 17, 2023.
The scheduled quantities will be available on time as part of the ministry’s preparations for the 2023/2024 season.
He urges citizens to get vaccinated to avoid serious complications which can sometimes lead to serious illness and even death, and which can only be avoided through prevention, in particular vaccination.
The ministry recommends prioritizing vaccination for people suffering from chronic diseases (diabetes, kidney failure, heart and lung diseases, obesity and asthma) as well as pregnant women, the elderly and children with chronic diseases.
Seasonal flu vaccination is an essential measure to protect public health and reduce the spread of illness during the winter season. The Ministry of Health therefore strongly encourages the participation of the population in this vaccination campaign.
