In it Peruthe Government of Dina Boluarte through Supreme Decree No. 151-2022-PCM, established that next Friday, April 28, 2023 will be Holiday in order to encourage domestic tourism. However, this measure has some peculiarities that must be taken into account.
IS APRIL 28 A NON-WORKING DAY OR HOLIDAY?
The Executive announced that next Friday, April 28, will be a non-working day, which means that public sector workers have a mandatory rest, but these hours will be considered a recoverable day on another date. With respect to workers in the private sector, rest is optional, since they will only have that day off as long as there is a negotiation between the employee and the employer.
WILL THERE BE TRIPLE PAYMENT FOR WORKING ON APRIL 28?
Employees who work on non-working days, as is the case on April 28, do not receive triple pay since during these dates established by the State they are not considered holidays, but in which triple remuneration does apply ( corresponding to the holiday, work done and a surcharge of 100%) for performing work functions.
WHO DOES NOT REST THIS APRIL 28?
Companies subject to the labor regime of private activity that provide Important services such as toilets, cleaning, sanitation, electricity, water, drainage, gas, fuel, communications, transportation, burials, airports, security, surveillance, food sales and the like will be trained to establish which are the jobs that will not be able to rest during a day declared as non-working, in order to guarantee the continuity of the services.
NON-WORKING DAYS IN PERU EAST 2023
The Government during this year decreed seven non-working days in the country. Therefore, this coming Friday, April 28, will be a great opportunity for citizens to enjoy traveling or resting. Next, the holidays that remain during this year:
