The schedule of Men’s ODI World Cup will be officially announced on 27th of this month. The dates have not been revealed yet but it is known that the tournament will start on October 5 and end in November.

The BCCI had submitted a draft timetable to the ICC during the World Test Championship final in London last week. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has approached the ICC expressing its displeasure over the match between India and Pakistan scheduled to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 15. This led to a delay in releasing the final schedule. Pakistan’s remaining matches are in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai and Kolkata.

According to reports, the PCB raised the issue when ICC CEO Jeff Allardyce and chairman Greg Barclay visited Lahore last month. The official schedule was originally set to unveil the WTC finale last week. But the Indo-Pak war over the 2023 Asia Cup has complicated things.

According to the report, the defending champions England will face New Zealand in the first match of the World Cup. India’s first match is once morest Australia on October 8. The much awaited India-Pakistan match will be held in Ahmedabad on 15th. India will face Afghanistan on 11th, Bangladesh on 19th, New Zealand on 22nd, England on 29th and South Africa on 5th November.
