The British Broadcasting Corporation reported that Global Affairs Canada (Global Affairs Canada) issued a U.S. travel warning for the LGBTQ group on the 29th, reminding that the laws of “certain states” may not be conducive to the multi-gender group, calling for prior confirmation of the relevant laws of the destination before travelling.

Authorities only mentioned “certain states” without naming them, and similar warnings usually apply to countries with strong gender identities such as Uganda, Russia or Egypt.

Compared with 2017, anti-LGBTQ demonstrations in the United States increased by 30 times last year, and legal restrictions on multi-gender groups continued unabated.

A spokesman for the Canadian Ministry of Global Affairs pointed out in an interview that states in the United States have passed a number of bills restricting transgender groups this year, including prohibiting drag shows, restricting transgender people from receiving gender affirming care and participating in sports events.

In March, Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee banned public drag shows and gender-affirming medical care for Tennessee children. In May, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill that limits medical care for underage transgender people, prohibits children from attending drag shows, and bans gender names in public school classrooms.

Hundreds of similar statutes are common in states governed by conservatives.

The Human Rights Campaign, the largest LGBT rights advocacy group in the United States, stated in June that as states have legislated to limit equal rights, the multi-gender ethnic groups in the United States have entered a state of emergency.
