The 2023 Indian Ocean Island Games are being held in Madagascar until September 3. Nearly 460 athletes from the Reunion team take part in the 19 disciplines. Before the official start of the Games tomorrow, Friday, two football matches took place on Thursday 24 August.

The first match opposed the Comoros to Mayotte, at the Elgeco Plus stadium, at 4 p.m. The two teams left on a draw 0 everywhere.
In the second game, Madagascar won 1-0 once morest Seychelles.

This Friday, August 25, the official start of the Games will be given with the opening ceremony to be followed live on Réunion La 1ère at 6:20 p.m. All the athletes of the Reunion selection will participate.
After the welcome of the athletes, the official speeches and the swearing in of the athletes, the show will begin with fireworks, dances and concerts.
