This is the second global fan survey conducted for the FIA WEC, following the 2017 survey. Motorsport Network is a leader in this field, having recently conducted global fan surveys in partnership with F1™ (October 2021), NTT INDYCAR Series (February 2022) and MotoGP™ (September 2022). More than 330,000 enthusiasts from 197 countries made their voices heard through these three surveys.
As well as identifying fans’ favorite drivers, teams and circuits, the WEC survey aims to collect their feedback on a wide range of topics. Among them are viewing habits, attending races on location and how media is consumed. Fans will be able to express their opinion on future changes to improve the discipline, as well as their ideas on key issues outside of what is happening on the circuits. Questions also relate to fan engagement and the growth of video games and esports.
