The European Cinema Academy voted the drama ‘Anatamie d’une chute’ as the best film of 2023 on Saturday evening in Berlin. This legal thriller directed by Frenchwoman Justine Triet tells the story of a successful writer suspected of murder.

Justine Triet also won the 2023 Best Director Award for this film. And its lead actress, German Sandra Hüller, won the best actress award. The Dane Mads Mikkelsen was voted best leading actor for his role in the film ‘Promised Land’.
