ESSENTIAL INFORMATION:

No danger for the neighbours, our two favorite MC’s will be able to shout in front of the exploits (or the cagades) of our Blues at an unusual time for them: 3:30 p.m.

In addition to the neighborhood problems, we get to the heart of the matter and we leave for 17 days of intense competition which will see one of the 32 teams involved lift the world trophy. We obviously hope that our Blues will be on the top step of the podium on September 10 in Manila, but a first obstacle stands in their way and not the least: Canada.

On the strength of a successful preparation with 6 victories in 7 games played, the Blues are pumped up to start this first meeting of the World Cup with their feet firmly on the ground. Guerschon Yabusele is in fusion, Evan Fournier is finding rhythm following a season (almost) without playing in NYC and bosses Rudy Gobert, Nando De Colo and Nicolas Batum are quietly driving the blue train.

Opposite, Canada presents itself with a strong roster, headlined by the nugget of the Thunder Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, accompanied by his colleague from the Thunder Luguentz there and a happy bunch of NBA degenerates with Dillon Brooks, R.J Barrett or even this good old veteran Kelly Olynyk, to recite nobody else but them. Basically, a very complicated match once morest top NBA players.

But our Blues know how to do it and have a lot of experience in their roster with no less than 9 players playing in the Euroleague (competition record) and 3 in the NBA. France has a first big test that it must not miss even if the last two group matches, once morest Lebanon and Latvia, will be on paper less poor and might allow France to qualify. But there’s no question of starting to count, we want to win today once morest our Canadian opponents!
