Lâayoune – The total number of candidates who successfully passed the 2023 baccalaureate exams for the two sessions (normal and remedial) reached 3,996, i.e. a success rate of 64%, indicates a press release from the Regional Academy of Education and training (AREF) Lâayoune-Sakia El Hamra.
A total of 1,015 candidates were able to successfully pass the baccalaureate exams in the remedial session, including 521 girls, i.e. an overall success rate (girls and boys) of 39.39%, while the number of independent candidates who passed these tests amount to 120, i.e. a success rate of 30.23%.
The number of candidates who took the exams for the remedial session of the unified national baccalaureate exam 2023 reached 3,482 candidates, spread over 16 exam centers in the region, details AREF, specifying that these exams are took place in an atmosphere marked by the support of all educational actors and stakeholders, in a diligent and responsible manner, with a view to successfully completing this important national event.
The remedial session recorded a participation rate of 94.29% (2,733) of schooled candidates and a rate of 53% (749) for independent candidates, notes AREF, stressing that the number of cases of cheating for which reports were drawn up amounted to 127 cases.
At the end of this session, the success rate in the scientific, technical and professional branches stood at 35.56% (712 candidates), while it rose to 52.69% (303) in the literature and original education courses.
A total of 1,481 candidates graduated with honors in 2023, a rate of 37.06% (139: very good, 414: good, and 928: fairly good).
AREF welcomed the involvement of the teaching staff in the implementation of measures aimed at strengthening the credibility of the Moroccan baccalaureate and ensuring equal opportunities for all candidates.
