Ecuador qualifies for the 4th World Cup in its history only, following 2002, 2006 (best result with a round of 16) and 2014. Without a star among its players, the Tri imposed its physical density over these playoffs , being more regular than its competitors.
Uruguay, for its part, has been a regular for 2 decades and has qualified for its 4th World Cup in a row.
