It’s getting closer… After a scorching Tuesday when many headliners disappeared from circulation, the identity of all the qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar (November 21 – December 18) is emerging a little more clearly.
Five African and two European countries have thus come to complete the already existing cast. If a European nation is still missing the total due to events in Ukraine, most of the final World Cup contenders will have to go through intercontinental play-offs. Global overview.

North and Central America zone: 1
Officially, only Canada is guaranteed to be in the Top 3 of the final round of these CONCACAF zone qualifiers. Two other teams are in favorable waivers before the last day (United States and Mexico) to complete the trio guaranteed to see Qatar.
Note that the fourth of this Final Round (Costa Rica before the last day) will have to play an inter-continental play-off match against the winner of the Oceania qualifications next June (New Zealand or Solomon Islands).

The organizing country being automatically qualified, Qatar has therefore reserved the first ticket for the 2022 World Cup. Behind, in qualifying, the usual leaders of the area have responded.
Now only one question remains: who will face the South American representative in the intercontinental play-offs? Two teams face each other in a fourth round: the United Arab Emirates and Australia.
