2022 National Savings and Gross Fixed Capital Formation Report: Insights and Analysis

National savings fell slightly in 2022 year-on-year to reach 356.1 billion DH (-0.9%), according to the High Commission for Planning (HCP). In detail, financial and non-financial companies contributed to this savings for 60.8%, households and non-profit institutions serving households (NPISH) for 29.7% and public administrations for 9.5%. , specifies the HCP in a note on the national accounts of the institutional sectors for the year 2022.

For its part, Gross Fixed Capital Formation (GFCF) totaled 360.8 billion DH in 2022, an increase of 7.5% year-on-year. Companies (financial and non-financial) contributed 58.5% to the national GFCF in 2022, while the contribution of households and non-profit institutions serving households (ISBLSM) stood at 27 .9% instead of 29.6%. Finally, the share of public administrations stood at 13.6% instead of 20.1%.
