The 2022 accounts of the merged municipality of Haute-Sorne were presented to the General Council on Monday. As a reminder, the general account shows a profit of 383,432 francs, while the budget provided for a loss of 878,418 francs. This result can be explained by better than expected tax revenues. Members of the legislature welcomed this news positively. The accounts were accepted by 28 yes once morest no refusal. Mobility and equal pay
During the session, the municipality showed its desire to improve mobility throughout the territory. Another oral question, from the PS and Greens group this time, concerned issues of equal pay between men and women. He recalled that a working group had been set up in the past, but the process is complex because of the positions that are difficult to compare. Several criteria must be evaluated or re-evaluated to better analyze this question. Eric Dobler then assured that the file will be put back on the table soon.
The elected officials also voted on the admissibility of an internal motion by Jean-Pierre Chenal. The elected representative of the PS and Greens group wants the general councilors of the merged municipality to give their position concerning the deep geothermal project planned for Glovelier. Why does RFJ communicate the result of the “general account” to you?
The “MCH2” accounting model distinguishes two final results: the “general account” and the “global account”.
The general account includes the current expenses and receipts (in particular tax) of the municipality. It corresponds to the structural functioning of the municipal household and reveals its financial health.
The global account is an addition of the general account and “special funding”: the latter correspond to the receipts of the municipality’s self-funded services (water service, gas, waste management, SIS, etc.) through taxes. These special funds can only supply the services concerned and cannot legally be integrated into the municipal household. They are therefore not indicative of the “structural functioning” of the municipality.
For these reasons, RFJ chooses to provide you with the results of the general account, a relevant indicator of the municipality’s financial health.
