President Moon Jae-in sent a congratulatory message to the national athletes such as Kim A-Rang, Choi Min-Jung, Lee Yu-Bin, and Seo Hwi-Min, who won the silver medal in the women’s 3000m short track relay at the Beijing Winter Olympics on the 13th, saying, “We are proud of our athletes.”
President Moon said on his SNS that day, “Congratulations on the silver medal. After Sochi and Pyeongchang, it is a splendid feat of winning three consecutive medals in the Korean women’s relay relay.”
President Moon said, “It was the best match,” and “they brought me great joy by bringing my skills and mind together.”
First, President Moon told A-Rang Kim, “I led the players as the eldest sister of the national team and a ‘smile angel’. The positive energy and top-notch skills are just as reassuring,” he said.
President Moon said, “Thank you for sharing the value of our strength together with emotion,” he added.
For Choi Min-jung, he said, “It was a great sprint,” and “It showed why Choi Min-jung is the best skater in the world.”
President Moon said, “The passing scenes in the semi-finals and finals will be remembered for a long time.
For Lee Yu-bin, he said, “The youngest of Pyeongchang, who achieved ‘my favorite game’ with ‘a dream of a medal’, has stood tall as the ace of Beijing. Her parents, who were track and field athletes, will be more than happy with her,” she encouraged.
Finally, President Moon said to Seo Hwi-min, “I realized my dream of participating in the Olympics when I first started skating, and achieved the best result in the first competition. “I look forward to the next Olympics,” he said.
