A news report revealed on Tuesday that Norwegian striker Erling Haaland’s contract with Manchester City includes a release clause of 200 million euros if the player moves to any club outside the Premier League.
The report of the newspaper “The Athletic” indicated that the penalty clause could be activated in the summer of 2024.
The Norwegian star joined Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund earlier this year for 75 million euros, and made a great start to his career with City under the leadership of coach Pep Guardiola.
Haaland has scored 20 goals in nine Premier League matches and three Champions League matches so far this season.
