200 Elvis Presley jewels up for auction

Elvis Presley’s jewelry collection will be auctioned on August 27, with a contribution from his ex-wife Priscilla Presley.

The jewelers collected 200 pieces, including jeweled gold rings, cufflinks, watches and chains. The guitar that Presley played during his popular 1968 TV show “The Return” is also included.

Presley is a late American singer, songwriter and actor, considered one of the most important cultural icons of the twentieth century, referred to as the “King of Rock and Roll” and recorded 784 songs and performed 1,684 concerts.

Priscilla Presley backed the auction because she was tired of seeing so many fake Elvis jewelry put up for sale as his own, she said.

She added, “A lot of jewelry was sold in the name of my late husband, and it is still circulating, and this worries me, and I presented these collectibles to find someone who appreciates their value.”
