200 doctors will participate in a free scientific conference that will take place in Anzoátegui, in order to adapt to new technologies.
According to a press release, the initiative was born from a group of specialists who are dedicated to training new generations to avoid neglect in the treatment of diseases with a high incidence in the population.
“The idea is to spread knowledge. If doctors are not prepared and up to date, you can have the best equipment, but without knowledge it doesn’t work. That’s why we’re organizing these workshops,” said Pedro Lovaglio, President of the San José polyclinic in Puerto La Cruz.
Presentations
The scientific activity also includes more than 30 presentations on surgical advances in cardiology, traumatology, soft surgery, cardiovascular surgery, among other specialties of family medicine, with the participation of national and international doctors.
“We hope to create a permanent training program, for medical assistance training, to benefit colleagues and above all the patients who are the direct beneficiaries of these sessions,” said Oscar Navas, a specialist in Traumatology.
Importance
José Miguel Aguirre, a cardiologist, stressed the importance of training to “present patients with less invasive and manageable treatments for an efficient and less traumatic recovery.”
The event will take place from August 7 to 9, at the headquarters of the San José Polyclinic, on Jorge Rodríguez Intercommunal Avenue, in Puerto La Cruz.
