Book presentation and start of the anniversary year of the Anton Bruckner Private University

20 years ago, the Bruckner Conservatory lived up to the pioneering spirit of its namesake and dared to venture into the then still quite uncertain ocean of university autonomy. Three successful reaccreditations later, the Bruckner University in Upper Austria, as one of the larger training centers for music and performing arts in the German-speaking area, has become an integral part of the national and international tertiary art education landscape. Linz (OTS/LCG) – The starting point of the Anton Bruckner Private University anniversary year is the presentation of the publication “20 Years – 20 Voices” on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at 7:30 p.m., in the presence of the state governor Thomas Stelzer.

Since becoming a university in 2004, the Anton Bruckner Private University (ABPU) has earned a special status in the Austrian university landscape and in Linz as an educational location, as well as internationally. In “20 Years – 20 Voices,” different personalities look back on becoming a university and the two decades that have passed since. These include former rectors, teachers, alumni, students and other companions. Some of them, including the state governor Thomas Stelzer and former state governor Josef Pühringer are the Rector’s interlocutors Martin Rummel present at the book launch.
