At the moment, motorists are having difficulty refueling due to the government fuel discount in France but also, and above all, due to a strike at TotalEnergies and ExxonMobil. Enough to get on the nerves of some road users… and make them completely lose their minds. Last Wednesday, a conflict between two motorists degenerated, in a service station in Saint-Julien-en-Genevois, in Haute-Savoie, and a man stabbed another, reports France Bleu Pays de Savoie.
Wednesday, October 5, it is around 4:30 p.m. when the altercation occurs. The assailant, a young man of 20, is queuing to fill up, like many other motorists in recent days. According to the first elements of the investigation, reported by the local radio, the man would not have accepted that a car, registered in Switzerland, the double in the line.
The tone would then have risen between the two men, and the 20-year-old Frenchman would have taken out a knife and stabbed the one who had passed in front of him, a 33-year-old man residing in Switzerland. His two children, installed in the back of the car, witnessed the scene. The injured, taken in absolute urgency to the hospital center of Geneva, is fortunately out of the woods, further specify our colleagues.
France Bleu further indicates that the Haut-Savoyard fled, but was quickly arrested by the gendarmes. Placed in police custody, he admitted having stabbed the victim at least six times.
According to Le Dauphiné Libéré, an investigation for attempted murder has been opened and entrusted to the gendarmerie company of Saint-Julien-en-Genevois. Placed in police custody, the suspect was brought before an investigating judge on Friday, before being remanded in custody.
