AFTER conducting auditions in eight cities, Falcon Pictures announced the 20 Comic 8 Revolution finalists who successfully passed the selection in their respective cities. The 20 finalists will undergo a three-month quarantine period in Jakarta.
During the quarantine period, participants will be provided with intensive training and various challenges to hone their skills. In addition, there are also games that participants will do.
All the excitement and dynamics during this quarantine period will be broadcast exclusively through Comic 8 Revolution’s social media, so fans can follow the participants’ journey closely.
This event also presents professionals as trainers for comedians during the quarantine period, ranging from motivators to actors.
During the quarantine, the finalists will also be monitored by cameras, in a large room surrounded by many mirrors. The cameras behind the mirrors will monitor the movements of the audition participants 24 hours a day, except for going to the toilet.
Falcon Pictures producer, Frederica, revealed that after the auditions selected up to 20 finalists, then until December they will enter several stages including elimination.

“So that in the end we will find eight comedians who are most worthy to star in the film Comic 8,” he said in a press release received by Media Indonesia, Monday (23/9).
Indro Warkop, who was the main judge of Comic 8 Revolution, said that the quality of the participants has increased. The selection process also showed better quality compared to the auditions in the previous eight cities.
“The audience factor seems to have an influence, during auditions in the regions, only the judges watched,” explained Indro.
Meanwhile, Cak Lontong, who was also a judge, saw that the material presented by the participants was very varied.
“The diversity of origins and professions of the participants makes the participants’ materials more varied. Their materials are increasingly unique and different in terms of culture, tradition or their professional stories,” he said. (Z-1)
