Neymar then switched from FC Santos to Barça for 88 million euros. The Brazilian investment fund DIS held 40 percent of the shares in the footballer at the time, but got nothing from the transfer – now wants to sue for the millions.
Neymar’s parents and former Barça presidents Bartomeu and Rosell have also been charged.
Prosecutors are asking for Neymar to be jailed for two years (can be suspended) and fined €10m. His testimony is expected on Friday.
