A child of approximately two years of age fell from a height of 50 metros at the Mirador de Cristal located on the hill of San Miguel, Atlixco, Puebla, and is reported to be in serious health condition.

The Atlixco City Council issued a statement to report that the accident occurred due to a neglect of family members of the child.

“In light of the incident that occurred at the Mirador de Cristal del Cerro de San Miguel facilities, we inform you: a minor of two years oldsuffered a fall due to the carelessness of the people accompanying him, causing head injury.”

The municipal authority also reported that the child It was attended by the emergency services of the municipality of Atlixco and was transferred to the hospital Arronte River for medical evaluation.

The city council also stressed that the accident did not occur due to faults in the viewing point and confirmed that the site remains open to tourism.
