The team that represented Switzerland at the European Championship of Agricultural Disciplines, Europea Agrochallengeranked second, behind Luxembourg.
The European vice-champion team was made up of two apprentice farmers from the Valais School of Agriculture, Valentin Reuse and Candide Maye, and two from the Inter-Jura Rural Foundation, Gaëlle Hirchi and Tanguy Veya. She was coached by Grégoire Bonvin, a teacher at the Valais agricultural school.
Eighteen ordeals
The championship pitted eighteen teams once morest each other in Lendorf, Austria on August 23-24. They competed in eighteen tests including tractor driving, dairy product processing and plant recognition.
