This year’s SSC and equivalent exams are starting from today. This exam is starting with Bangla 1st paper on Sunday (April 30) at 10 am.
As per instructions, candidates must enter the hall at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination. This time 20 lakh 72 thousand 163 students are participating under 11 education boards.
Nine general, madrasa and technical education boards have increased this year by 50 thousand 295 candidates compared to last year. This exam will be held in 3 thousand 810 centers of the country. Apart from this, 374 students from eight centers outside the country are participating in this examination.
Before Corona, this exam was usually started in February. The 2022 secondary examination started from September 15 following a delay of seven months due to corona and floods. As the situation normalized, the government had already announced that this year’s SSC and equivalent exams would be held in April.
Various decisions were taken in the ‘National Monitoring and Law and Order’ committee meeting last Tuesday around this test.
It is informed that the SSC exam will start at 10 am and end at 1 pm. Candidates must enter the hall at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination. If an examinee attends the center following that due to unavoidable reasons, his name, roll number, time of entry, reason for delay etc. should be recorded in a register and report should be given to the concerned Board of Education on the same day.
The question set code will be announced 25 minutes before the start of the exam. According to the signature of a secretary, tag officer and police officer, the question paper packet will be opened according to the rules.
No one other than the persons concerned with the examination (examinees, room invigilators, inspection team of the Ministry, inspection team of the Board, district and upazila inspection team, members of the law enforcement agencies engaged in security) will be allowed to enter the center.
The accounts of these two boards report progress in girls’ secondary education but the opposite picture in technical education. Out of total 1 lakh 27 thousand 767 students in SSC/Dakhile (Vocational), 97 thousand 334 students are participating in the examination, there are only 30 thousand 433 female students.
This time, 1 lakh 41 thousand 334 students are participating in Dhaka Board among the nine general education boards. Then 91 thousand 557 people in Rajshahi board, 89 thousand 919 people in Dinajpur board, 58 thousand 987 people in Comilla board, 42 thousand 24 people in Mymensingh board, 39 thousand 385 people in Jessore board, 34 thousand 20 people in Chittagong board, 24 thousand 156 people in Barisal board and Sylhet board has the least 23 thousand 192 students.
In this year’s SSC exam, the number of candidates in science department has increased by 37 thousand 320. A total of 5 lakh 44 thousand 574 students from science department, 8 lakh 23 thousand 885 students from humanities department and 2 lakh 80 thousand 816 students from business education department are participating in nine education boards.
This year’s exam is being conducted in a total of 3 thousand 810 centers. 20 more centers this time than last time. This time students of 29 thousand 798 institutions are sitting for the exam. Compared to last year, educational institutions have increased by 207.
Eight centers outside the country are conducting SSC and equivalent examinations this year. Among these centers, 89 people will take part in the exam in Jeddah, 51 people in Riyadh, 4 people in Tripoli, 77 people in Doha, 41 people in Abu Dhabi, 27 people in Dubai, 65 people in Bahrain, 20 people in Saham (Oman).
