2 golds fall in Paranationals

The Yucatan delegation that is competing in the Conade 2024 Paranational Games, which take place in Oaxaca, obtained its first two gold medals, through David Stephen Miranda Romero in powerlifting.

The Yucatecan demonstrated his quality on the stage of the “Hermanos Flores Magón” Sports Complex, by conquering the 15-20 year old rookie category of the 54 kilo division.

In her first opportunity, in the best lift modality, Miranda Romero lifted 90 kilograms, while in her second intervention her mark was 100 kilograms, but her third attempt gave her the gold with 110 kilograms.

The second gold metal was obtained in the sum of the three lifts, which was 300 kilograms.

The Yucatecan paraselectee shared the podium with Gael de León Obregón, from Nuevo León, who won two silver medals.

Miranda Romero will also compete in the next few days in the paraswimming modality in Apizaco, Tlaxcala, from September 26 to 30, where she is also a favorite to win medals.

David is a student of AlanGutiérrez Chan, who has been his coach since his beginnings in the sport.
