Venezuela received 2.5 million doses of influenza vaccine from the Mechnicov center in the Russian Federation.
The information was provided by the Ministry of Popular Power for Health, through its Twitter account.
For his part, the Vice Minister for Latin America, Rander Peña, published a video in which he stressed that the vaccines will reinforce the Expanded Program on Immunization.
He assured that they will be distributed in the hospital and outpatient network in the country, “this comes to reinforce the expanded immunization program, to treat transmitted diseases such as measles, yellow fever and hepatitis.”
During the arrival of the vaccines, the Vice Minister of Supplies of the Ministry of Popular Power for Health, Jesús Brito, was present.
These actions are part of the existing agreements between Venezuela and Russia.
