New month, new wave of events at Médoc Atlantique.
After a rather sporty month of May, comes a rather cultural month of June. Theatre, entertainment for children, period costumes will enliven the towns of the destination.
1st short theater festival in Carcans-Maubuisson on June 4 and 5
Throughout the Pentecost weekend, Carcans-Maubuisson is transformed into an open-air stage and hosts short theater performances (20 minutes maximum) offered by 12 amateur, semi-professional and professional theater companies.
On Saturday, June 4, these 12 troupes will present their short theater piece in front of a jury of professionals, selected by Mr. Christophe Lorcat, Director of Cours Florent Bordeaux. Their objective ? Qualify for the final the next day, Sunday June 5, 2022!
In the evening, at 9 p.m., at the Théâtre de l’Estran, a play presented by the students of Cours Florent will officially launch this 1st edition of the Festival with the announcement of the 6 finalist companies.
On Sunday June 5, the 6 finalists will perform for an official performance open to the public and free of charge at the Théâtre de l’Estran, while the 6 non-finalist companies will perform on the outdoor stages. The award ceremony, at 6 p.m., closed this 1st edition of the Festival du Court Théâtre.
To complete the event, an artists’ village is installed throughout the weekend on the central square of Maubuisson and allows professionals, programmers and visitors to meet and discuss the world of theater.
