LG launched its first notebook with a folding screen, the LG Gram Fold. Hadlee Simons, from the website AndroidAuthority, reports that following Asus and Lenovo launched their notebooks with a folding screen, LG decided to follow the same path with the Gram Fold. Check out all the details regarding the configuration, sales price and launch date below.
What does the LG Gram Fold bring?

The LG Gram Fold is LG’s first notebook with a 17-inch foldable OLED screen, which when folded, shrinks to 12 inches. Although the South Korean manufacturer of OLED smart TVs says that it is possible to use a virtual keyboard in the lower half of the screen when folding it, it is possible to connect a Bluetooth keyboard to obtain an experience closer to the traditional one.
According to LG, its Gram Fold notebook passed a durability test with 30,000 openings and closings. Considering smartphones with a folding screen, like the Galaxy Z Fold 5, this number isn’t much. Even so, this guarantees that the user might fold and open the notebook 20 times a day for 4 years without any problems.
Weighing just 1.25kg with a thickness of 9.4mm, when unfolded, the LG Gram is really a very compact notebook. In terms of internal hardware, it has a 13th generation Intel Core i5-1335U CPU, an Iris Xe graphics chip, 15 GB of RAM and a 512 GB NVMe SSD.
Regarding the battery, there is a 72 Wh lithium-ion cell with 65W charging. In terms of connectivity, we have Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 6E and two USB-C ports.
Launch and availability
The LG Gram Fold is now available in South Korea promotionally for approximately US$2982 for the first 200 buyers, but its normal price will be US$3729. There is no launch date outside the country for now.
