A 19-year-old woman was shot dead early this Saturday in a service center in the town of Socos in Ovalle.
According to the version of witnesses, the young woman of Venezuelan nationality was refueling her motorcycle with another man, when she was intercepted by another subject who shot her several times and then fled the scene.
The Focus Prosecutor and the ECOH Team, along with personnel from the Investigative Police, are at the scene carrying out the first steps in the case. Regarding the motivations, these would not yet be established.
Police officers are carrying out a registration at the scene and interrogating the victim’s companion, who is the main witness of the incident. The young Venezuelan woman would find herself in an irregular situation in our country.
