An impressive increase of 19.7% was noted by the turnover (turnover) of tourist accommodation in Greece in February 2024, reaching 110,210,592 euros, compared to 92,043,047 euros which was the corresponding figure for February 2023.
At the same time, the turnover of catering services businesses amounted to 176,686,109 euros in February 2024, marking an increase of 15.7% compared to February 2023, where it had risen to 152,701,614 euros, also according to the ELSTAT.
Cumulatively, according to newsit, for the businesses of accommodation and catering services, the turnover in February 2024 amounted to 286,896,701 euros, increased by 17.2% compared to February 2023, where it had risen to 244,744,661 euros .
For the regional units with a contribution to the total turnover in 2023 greater than 1%, the largest increase in turnover was observed in the regional unit of Mykonos (37.1%) and the smallest (2.5%) was recorded in the regional unit of Zakynthos, while the largest decrease (5.7%) was recorded in the regional unit of Corfu.
