Kakkanad – After the pump owner informed that the vehicles of Ernakulam RT Office and Enforcement RT Office will not be given diesel from tomorrow, it is confirmed that 14 vehicles of the department will reach Kattappuram within 2 days. 9 vehicles of Ernakulam RT Office and 5 vehicles of Enforcement Office are not getting fuel. The vehicles here were filled with diesel from the Mavelipuram pump on the Seaport-Airport road. The pump owner sent a letter to the RTO saying that he will not supply diesel from tomorrow following Rs 1,88,000 was due.
1,40,000 is owed to the workshop for repairing the vehicles, so there is no maintenance for the damaged vehicles. Traffic inspection will also stop. Since the pump owner has imposed a limit on diesel, the traffic inspection by the RTO general section is only one or two days a week for some time. The department is of the position that only a few electric cars can be used for road patrolling for the time being.
