The gendarmes of the Rhône seized at the beginning of the week 183 sick dogs which were on a farm in Sainte-Consorce (Rhône), we learned this Friday.
After being alerted by residents who complained of nuisance, the gendarmes of the Rhône went on Monday April 24 to a farm located in Sainte-Consorce, near Lyon, revealed Progress.
On site, they found 183 dogs which were immediately seized. Most of the animals were puppies. All were detained in about fifteen enclosures.
The SPA lodges a complaint against the owner
A good number of dogs were carriers of scabies but also of ticks. The animals were taken care of by the SPA, while waiting to be entrusted to families.
The humane society filed a complaint against the owner of the farm for ill-treatment.
The respondent assures that he wanted to set up a breeding, but that he had not managed to obtain the sum necessary for the completion of the project.
