18 years of plight; Anna Benn’s Open Letter to Chief Minister

Vypin: State award winner for best actress Anna Ben has written an open letter to the Chief Minister demanding that Vypin buses be allowed to enter the city. The Chief Minister has brought to the attention of the Chief Minister the plight of Vypin buses having to return to the High Court intersection even after 18 years.

Anna recalls that she experienced this difficulty throughout her time as a student at St. Teresa’s.

Even though buses come to the city from all parts of the district, only Vypin buses are not allowed to enter.

The letter also reminds that the additional cost of this is unaffordable for thousands of ordinary women from Vypin who work in textile shops and other businesses in the city. Residents of Vypin are constantly fighting for the entry of buses into the city.

The letter also states that the study report of Natpak is favorable regarding the entry of Vypin buses into the city.

The letter concludes by saying that it is hoped that the Chief Minister, who has the ability to take a firm decision, can easily overcome the threads of law raised by vested interests and some officials.
