According to “Jimu News”, Xu Xiulian’s daughter Zhou Yan disappeared in March 2005. After her husband Zhou Youming picked up her daughter from school that day, he let the child play in the street next to the neighbor’s house while the couple worked on repair projects at the neighbor’s house. Xu Xiulian recalled that she wanted to pick up her daughter upstairs but the child refused. In addition, her husband was only a few meters away from her daughter, so they went upstairs by themselves. Unexpectedly, they might not find their daughter when they came downstairs. Although the couple immediately called the police, There were no surveillance cameras installed on the street, so the case was quickly dismissed.

Xu Xiulian blamed herself and said that when her daughter disappeared, “there was a van that drove in and suddenly made a U-turn.” Afterwards, someone told her that they saw the little girl being forcibly dragged into the car. It was almost certain that her daughter was abducted, but the couple did not care regarding the night of her daughter’s disappearance. We braved heavy rain to search for her. After that, she posted missing person notices everywhere, and even went to Beijing TV to shoot a missing person video, but there was no news regarding her daughter.

Now times have changed. Xu Xiulian’s husband passed away on April 1, 2013, the year following he was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. She maintained the couple’s past wishes and insisted not to sell the newly built house when her daughter disappeared. She wanted to leave the house to her daughter while enjoying the meal in the restaurant. While working to pay off debts, I was looking for my daughter. However, I was diagnosed with cancer in June this year. Recently, there were signs of metastasis, so I had to seek help from the public. “I want to find my precious daughter in my lifetime. It’s okay to meet her. If she doesn’t want to return to the house we left, respect it.” She chose to just let me know where she is and have a good life.”
