Today he no longer has this self-doubt.
He is one of the top stars in Hollywood, but until then, the British actor Tom Holland (“Spider-Man: No Way Home”) struggled with his height. “At the beginning of my career, I had a lot of self-doubt,” said the almost 1.73 meter tall Holland of the German Press Agency in London. That was also the case when he got the role as “Spider-Man”. “But the people around me made it clear to me that it’s nothing to worry regarding.” And ultimately he is the one who stands in front of the camera and shoots the scenes. “So it doesn’t bother me.”
Holland, who is dating fellow actress Zendaya, often jokes regarding his own size. In his film “Uncharted”, which is currently showing in cinemas, it also becomes a humorous topic. The 25-year-old no longer has self-doubt. “One should really only have self-doubt regarding things that one can change,” said the “Spider-Man” actor. “I can’t suddenly grow a few inches. If I might, dammit, I would. But I can not change it. So there’s no point in wasting energy on that.”
Tom Holland stars as Nathan Drake in the theatrical adaptation of the PlayStation game Uncharted. In the film by director Ruben Fleischer, he embarks on an adventurous journey around the world with his co-star Mark Wahlberg to find a lost pot of gold.
