$1,600 stimulus check released in Colorado

This Tuesday, it was announced that a $1,600 economic stimulus package is available to thousands of Colorado residents.

This is a stimulus check refund known as TABOR. This money was approved following a surplus of $1.5 billion dollars was recorded.

This money is not for all Colorado residents. These people must meet the criteria for reimbursement, one of the main ones being that they have lived in the state for more than a year.

Another requirement is that they have filed their taxes on time, that is, before the deadline.

The amounts will be divided into two variables, the first of which is for individual taxpayers and will be for the average amount of $800 dollars.

Married couples filing jointly will be eligible to receive $1,600. These amounts were approved for the 2024 tax year.

What are the requirements to receive this stimulus check in Colorado?

Additionally, applicants must be at least 18 years old on the first day of the tax year and have been residents of Colorado for 183 days or more in tax year 2023.

Taxpayers should also not have any tax owed on income they received in Colorado.
