A 54-year-old man informed the police that the teenager was unconscious. He met the girl the day before, took her to his apartment and apparently consumed drugs with the 16-year-old. According to police, the 54-year-old was arrested. Narcotic drugs – presumably cocaine – were seized in the apartment.
When the officers came to the apartment, the young person was already dead. Due to the situation where he was found, the 54-year-old was temporarily arrested by order of the Vienna public prosecutor’s office. An autopsy showed that there were no signs of foul play, although a toxicology report is still pending. A white substance, suspected to be cocaine, was seized in the apartment.
In an initial interview, the Romanian stated that he had consumed drugs with the 16-year-old and then had consensual sexual intercourse. The Vienna State Criminal Police Office is now investigating whether this corresponds to the facts. The 54-year-old was still in custody on Monday. An interrogation is still pending.
