The Cicpc clarified the homicide of a 15-year-old teenager, who died following being shot by a shotgun.
A 16-year-old boy was apprehended in the city of Barquisimeto, following allegedly shooting a 15-year-old teenager. Both would be “playing boxing” at the time of the accident.
Officials of the Investigative, Scientific, Penal and Forensic Corps (Cicpc) began an investigation following learning of the homicide that occurred in the Unión parish, in Lara state, on December 5.
The murder occurred, according to police information, when two young men were “playing boxing” and the victim hit his assailant in the face.
The alleged murderer, following receiving the blow, looked for a firearm, a type of shotgun, and fired it at the boy, who died instantly.
Douglas Rico, director of the Cicpc, revealed that the teenager was arrested in the San Benito sector, where the murder weapon was located.
The identity of another person involved in the criminal act was also reported, since a brother of the attacker would have provided the shotgun to carry out the murder.
Rico pointed out that both were presented before the Public Ministry.
