16 lakh salary paid to Swapna from whom will be collected – Swapna Suresh Salary PWC Manorama Online

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Limited (KSITIL) has approached the government following Price Water Coopers (PwC) said it might not refund the salary paid to Swapna Suresh, who was appointed as a junior consultant at the Space Park. The government has been approached seeking instructions on taking further steps. Officials said that they are waiting for the government’s decision and are planning to recover the money as per the terms of the agreement.

Sapna was appointed by PwC at Space Park under KSITIL. 19,06,730 has been sanctioned by the IT department as salary to PwC. After being accused in the dream gold debt and dismissed from the job, the financial audit department issued a report that the MD of KSITIL should take immediate action to collect an amount of Rs. 16,15,873 excluding GST from PwC.

If it is not possible to collect the amount from PwC, it was also recommended to collect the amount equally from the then IT Secretary and KSITIL Chairman Sivashankar IAS, the then MD: C. Jayashankar Prasad and Special Officer Santosh Kurup. The committee chaired by the Chief Secretary also suggested that the salaries should be recovered from the officials. The firm has decided not to pay Rs 1 crore owed to PwC for the K Phone project without repaying the amount.
