159 beggars arrested in the emirate UAE News

ABU DHABI: The Abu Dhabi Police said that from November 6 to December 12 this year, 159 beggars were caught in the emirate. He warned that beggars make up stories to gain public sympathy and collect money and not to believe them.

Most of the beggars are concentrated in business establishments and churches. Campaigns are being conducted to arrest them and the public should cooperate with the police to reduce street begging. Avoid distributing donations personally.

Official channels, institutions and charity centers should be approached to ensure that donations reach the right people. By this way beggars can be avoided to some extent. The police also requested the public to report begging cases through the Command and Control Center on 999.
