On the occasion of Passover, one of Judaism’s three pilgrimage festivals prescribed by the Hebrew Bible, more than 15,000 Israeli tourists visited Morocco. They came “to enjoy their vacation this year with their families in beautiful Morocco,” said Eyal David, Israel’s deputy head of mission in Morocco, on his Twitter account. “We look forward to more coming next summer,” he added.

Israel’s deputy head of mission in Morocco also announced that a Moroccan tourist attaché has recently joined the Moroccan liaison office in Tel Aviv. “To strengthen our relations in this area between our two countries, we were happy to meet the first Moroccan tourist attaché, who will soon be settling in Tel Aviv,” he said.
Morocco is betting on the arrival of around 200,000 Israeli tourists to visit the kingdom. A number that should double in the coming years, in particular with the launch of direct airlines between the two countries.
