15 years since the first iPhone

We are on our anniversary, the first iPhone turns 15 years old. The phone that changed people’s lives and that today has marked lives and generations. The apple brand has created followers.

It was not the first smartphone, but, without a doubt, it totally changed the rules of the game. Such was the impact of this creation that the magazine ‘Times’ named it as the invention of the year 2007. And it has rained a lot since this first iPhone. Currently, we have among us the iPhone 13 with its different Pro and Pro Max sizes. And by the end of the year Apple will launch its latest iPhone model.

If we look back to remember its beginning, we see how Steve Jobs appeared in the Macworld Conference & Expo on January 9 2007 to launch their product. With a screen behind them appeared: a mobile phone, an iPod and a device to connect to the Internet. These three elements were merged to form a new smartphone called as iPhone.

The first iPhone cost $ 499 compared to the more than 1000 dollars that the new iPhone 13 model costs. At that time the price was considered exorbitant for a mobile phone. After 15 years, Apple has reached the more than 1 billion users Y has sold more than 2000 million units of iPhones since its inception.

The iPhone is Apple’s safe bet and the one that continues to reap merits. Apple entered in the last semester 83.36 billion dollars of which more than 46% comes from direct sales of the iPhone.
