A 15-year-old girl reportedly suffered sexual abuse perpetrated by the director of the Escola Privada Novo Médio, located in Zango 3, municipality of Viana. The minor’s mother only found out following noticing that her daughter was fainting a lot.
It all happened at the end of last year, when the director of the aforementioned school allowed all students to go home and isolated the victim, a 15-year-old student. According to her mother (whose name, for obvious reasons, we will not mention), the girl was supposedly taken by the director in one of the classrooms; when he thought it was a school matter, the director allegedly removed the girl’s clothes and then sexually abused her.
Despite shouting for help, he did not get help, and the director allegedly completed the act and left the room. “She went to the house of one of her colleagues, crying, and told her what happened.
My colleagues wanted to speak to the director, but my daughter said no, in order to prevent me from knowing, since I was sick”, he said, in an exclusive conversation with the newspaper OPAÍS. According to the interviewee, her daughter preferred to suffer in silence this entire time, as she was afraid that the news might cause other problems for her mother, who was already ill. “Since last year, the girl, who was in good health, Suddenly he started to faint very frequently, and, so far, he has fainted more than 15 times”, said the mother, in tears.
He also admitted that this situation left the entire family very worried, since, whenever the girl fainted and was treated at the hospital, she was diagnosed with malaria; Still, following she finished the medication, the problem continued. “The doctors recommended cardiology, neurology analyzes and a CT scan of the head. The latter, as it was very expensive, the family was organizing itself financially to carry it out. The girl feels a lot of back pain and head pain [o que causa desmaios, quando é demais]”, these.
The source stated that he was advised by some people to look for a church, because perhaps it was a spiritual problem. At the church, it was explained to her that her daughter had sexual contact with a man, who gave her a “disease of the dead”, hence the constant fainting. From that moment on, the daughter began to cry, she apologized for not having explained before, and said that it was true, that she had been a victim of abuse, last year, by the director of the Novo Médio Private School, located in Zango 3.
Director has not yet been arrested
The victim’s mother calls for justice, asking this man to pay for the damages and be arrested. “What hurts me a lot is knowing that she is still a girl, that she needs to study. The young man is already an adult, has a family, and came to ruin the life of a girl who was healthy”, lamented the lady. The family only became aware of the problem in January of this year, and did not bother the director in order to preserve the girl’s honor.
The victim had to be enrolled in another school, where he attends grade 10. However, the newspaper OPAÍS became aware of this case through INAC’s assessment of the complaints received at SOS-Criança, between the 18th and 24th of this month. According to INAC, the telephone terminal that answers 15015, in that period, received 196 reports of evading paternity or custody dispute, 75 of child labor, 46 of physical and psychological violence, 14 of sexual abuse, 14 of neglect, nine cases of child abandonment and seven cases of accusations of practicing witchcraft.
In Viana, a 20-year-old citizen was the victim of sexual abuse since she was 8 years old, by a suspected National Police officer, who happens to be her uncle. The victim says the accused continues to sexually abuse other children. Still in the same municipality, a newborn was found dead inside an abandoned construction site. In Luanda, an 8-year-old male child has been repeatedly accused of practicing witchcraft by a neighbor. The injured party says that she has seen the child flying every day at night and has tormented him a lot in his sleep.
