Authorities released this Friday the teenager Edicson, 15, who was arrested during a protest in the state of Barinas and who suffered facial paralysis during his confinement.
The NGO Foro Penal reported on its social networks about the release of Edicson. It recalled that the teenager was “arbitrarily detained in Barinas on August 2 as a result of the post-election protests.”
Lucía Quintero Ramírez, coordinator of the Criminal Forum in Barinas, accompanied Edicson during his presentation to court. She pointed out that the young man received a precautionary measure of presentation every eight days in the criminal circuit of the entity.
She also posted a video of Edicson and his mother, Yanire Jaimes, leaving the courts. “He is free, thank God. He is stable (in health): “He needs to go to the physiatrist and needs treatment.”he said.
