15″ MacBook Air May Launch in April or May, Says Ross Young

Following the line of previous rumors, the display chain analyst Ross Young reverberated more speculations regarding the alleged 15 inch macbook air. According to him, the production of computer displays intensified in March and will go through a new increase this month.

With that, despite having said that he does not know precisely when the product will be launched, the analyst said that the launch might occur between the end of April and the beginning of May. This information differs slightly from what has been said previously, in the sense that the product would be launched in the first quarter of the year or in early April.

So, with a spring event from Apple already being pretty unlikely at this point, it’s possible that the 15″ MacBook Air will be announced at WWDC23as was the case at WWDC22 with the 13-inch model equipped with the computer’s M2 chip.

This possibility was corroborated by sources from the 9to5Mac, which stated that there is a 15″ and a 13″ model — both with the “M3” chip — in development. It is not known, however, whether computers with the new processor will be launched this year, although this scenario has already been predicted before.

There is still no more solid information regarding the chip of the alleged new MacBook. It may be that the new product will be launched with an M2 processor, or even with the “M3”. The hypothesis that the computer brings a more advanced chip, like the M2 Pro, is unlikely, since the idea of the new model, if it is launched, is to stay between the 13″ MacBook Air and the Pro models.

In any case, Young’s new speech reinforces the chance that the new MacBook Air will actually come to fruition later this year. If it is actually launched, the Air line would once more have two screen sizes, something that existed until 2016, when the 11″ model of the computer was discontinued.

Let’s wait!
