Kuwait City: The driver escaped following running down 15 cyclists in Kuwait. The accident happened on Friday morning. The expatriates who were traveling in a group on the Arabian Gulf Road along the sea coast were hit by a person who came at a high speed. Authorities reached the spot and took further action. 11 injured cyclists were admitted to Amiri Hospital. Four people were treated at the scene and released.
The expatriates who were involved in the accident were traveling in groups on bicycles without taking prior permission from the authorities. Therefore, they were not escorted by the police to ensure security, the Home Ministry said in a statement. As soon as the information regarding the accident was received, the ambulances reached the spot and the paramedics provided emergency care and took the injured to the hospitals. Footage captured by a person who reached the accident site is circulating on social media. An investigation has been started following examining the camera footage to find the driver who escaped from the spot.
